How We Work

From first message to the daily walk

Here is the full process, laid out plainly, so you know exactly what to expect before a single visit is booked.

Setting up recurring pet care can feel like one more thing to manage on top of an already full schedule. The steps below are designed to take that off your plate quickly, usually within a single conversation, while still covering everything a caregiver needs to know before stepping into your home.

1

Share the basics about your pet and home

A short intake covers your pet's species, age, temperament, feeding routine and any medical notes worth flagging. You also let us know about entry instructions, alarm codes if applicable, and anything specific about the layout of your home a caregiver should understand ahead of time.

2

Select the visit type and frequency

Daily walks, cat check-ins, feeding visits or a travel care window can be booked individually or combined. Recurring schedules are set up once and repeat automatically until you request a change.

3

An introductory meet-and-greet visit

Before recurring visits begin, a caregiver visits to meet your pet, walk through feeding instructions in person and confirm details like leash preferences or hiding spots for shy cats. This visit also confirms key exchange or entry access.

4

Walks and check-ins begin on schedule

Once the schedule starts, visits happen at the agreed time window. Each walk is tracked from door to door using GPS, and each visit closes with a short written note and photo sent to you directly.

5

Adjustments as your week changes

Travel dates, extra visits or schedule pauses can be requested through the same booking channel. Confirmations are sent for every change, so nothing relies on a verbal agreement alone.

What the GPS log and photo update actually show

The route map displays the path walked, along with total distance and duration. It is meant to confirm the visit took place as scheduled, not to replace conversation with your caregiver.

The photo update is sent shortly after the visit ends. It typically includes one or two images from the walk or check-in, along with a short written note covering anything worth mentioning, from appetite to mood to weather conditions during the walk.

Common questions

A few things people usually ask before booking

Visit windows include a buffer of roughly fifteen minutes. If a delay looks likely to exceed that, you receive a message before the scheduled window closes, not after.

Recurring schedules are generally assigned to one primary caregiver, with a familiar backup available for days off or illness so your pet is never left without coverage.

Entry is arranged during the introductory visit, whether through a lockbox, smart lock code or key exchange. Entry details are stored securely and only shared with the assigned caregiver.

Routine medication administration can be added to a visit. Instructions and dosage are confirmed with you in writing before the first scheduled dose.

Yes. Recurring schedules can be paused for vacations, remote work weeks or any stretch of time when visits are not needed, then resumed when you are ready.
